1967–“The Seagull”

Created by Crawford 2 years ago

I have been a professional actor for 45 years. However, I also attended an English school near Windsor which will be familiar to readers of these pages. Going through some old papers, as you do at 70, I came across the programme for a production of Chekhov’s “The Seagull” performed as a school play in 1967 in which I took part two nights before the death of my mother. Out of curiosity I began to google those names in the cast which were slightly more memorable than John Smith and therefore more likely to yield results. Teo Davis was one. And so i found this tribute website. I do not remember Teo (or anyone else for that matter!) As you can see from the pictures, he played a Chef! But also designed the front of the programme. It is a fascination to know where life’s paths have taken those whom one may at some time have passed insouciantly in the night. I now know quite a lot about Teo thanks to you, his friends, and I hope you will not take it amiss that a complete stranger has added this tiny extra piece to his jigsaw.
