Tracy Tynan: A funny, smart, infuriating, unique guy ...

Created by Nena 8 years ago
My dear friend, Teo Davis, passed away on March 1. I have known him since I was 5 years old and he was 6. Teo grew up in Spain where his parents had finca just outside Malaga. The Davises were famous for their glamorous house parties that included Hemingway, Orson Welles, Cyril Connolly, and my parents, all avid bullfight aficionados.Teo went to Eton in England and eventually moved to LA where he ...was involved in the film business as a scriptwriter and producer.

Throughout his life he struggled with substance abuse, but for the last two years he had been sober. Sadly, his addictions had left him with a myriad of health problems and on March 1, his heart gave out. He was a funny, smart, infuriating, unique guy. He will be greatly missed. As his friend, Walter Hill, put it, ‘I am a better person for having known him.’

He is survived by his sister, Nena, who has set up a memorial page, teo.davis.muchloved.com. Please check it out, if you knew him, or have any memories or photos to share.

There will be a memorial service sometime at the end of April or the beginning of May. The information will be posted on the web page. Miss you Teo, gone too soon!
